Hello from the ISET Institute. We are now in the middle of our second Journey to Self Empowerment certificate course, which is going really well, with all participants experiencing large shifts in their consciousness and spiritual awareness. We are now looking to next year and our big challenge is getting the ISET Methodology course up and running. We have had many expressions in interest for this course from people from a large variety of different modalities and what we need now is an indication from you if you would like to do the course starting October 2007. EXPLORING SPIRITUALITY

Why have people always felt the need to explore and “know” what is beyond the physical world that we live in? Spiritual exploration has been the quest of man since human existence began and it is no different now. The early civilisations worshipped Mother Earth and believed they were at the mercy of the Gods. As humans evolved and became more conscious, spirituality became organised into religions and more recently we have seen a shift to a more personalised spiritual quest as people ask that age old question “Who am I”?. and no longer trust the organised religions to provide them with the answer.

My observations have led me to conclude that people begin a Spiritual Journey for one or several of the following reasons · Death of a loved one · Life threatening or debilitating illness · Emotional trauma · Dissatisfaction with where they are at in their life · Belief that there must be more to existence than just the material/physical world · Desire to create positive change in their lives · Desire to create positive change in the lives of people close to them · Feeling stuck or inhibited by fears · Synchronistic experiences · Receive messages through dreams, clairvoyants, thoughts

We at ISET Institute enjoy the opportunity to develop people’s awareness of their infinite nature and the spiritual journey that they are currently undertaking. It is great observing participants having an “aha” moment as something clicks in their awareness. Most of all we love seeing people create healing and positive change in their lives as they learn skills and experience methods that are designed to enhance their life journey.

JOURNEY TO SELF EMPOWERMENT CERTIFICATE

The Journey to Self Empowerment certificate is currently our most comprehensive course and allows participants to really expand their spiritual awareness and experience healing and change at all levels of consciousness. This course is also a pre requisite for the NEW ISET Methodology course as past students have really found that the information and experiences they had during the Journey certificate are essential to being able to make the most out of the ISET Methodology course and gain a fantastic new tool to add to their complementary therapy.

Colour YOUR WORLD Workshop

We ran our first “Colour your World” workshop in September and it was a great learning experience. The next one will be even better and I am looking forward to running this workshop again on Saturday March 3rd 2007. My third baby was born on June 28th in France and is an absolute delight. I am looking forward to finding out what his reason for being is as he wasn’t planned and seems as though he really knows why he is here. Life has become quite challenging for me, juggling children, work and play but where there is a will there is a way.

We have had a very busy time since our last newsletter with the commencement and completion of our first Journey to Self Empowerment Certificate (more later) and our participation in the Living Now Expo at Flemington Racecourse for the first time on the 28th, 29th & 30th April.

HAPPY ENDING

I would like to recount a little story that occurred just recently and made all of us involved feel very proud to be involved with ISET Institute and what it is trying to achieve. One of our participants from our February “Live with Spirit” workshop came to see us recently during the Living Now expo and we were thrilled to hear that she has progressed in leaps and bounds since we had last seen her in February at the workshop. She had come to the workshop because she had found herself unhappy with where she was at in her life for the first time and was very dissatisfied with her current employment even though it was in her chosen profession. Her only son had also reached an age where he was leaving the nest, which was a source of some distress to her also. She wanted some clarity on her life journey, to find a new direction in her life going forward and to achieve a happy balance with work and family. She volunteered to experience a healing session at the end of the day and using ISET we took her through a guided meditation to hopefully allow her to achieve positive change. Only three months later, she reports that she has left her unsatisfactory job, bought a new business with her husband and son and is looking forward to an exciting and positive future. Congratulations, what a great outcome!

JOURNEY TO SELF EMPOWERMENT CERTIFICATE

On February 18th we began our first “Journey to Self Empowerment Certificate” course with five very enthusiastic and willing participants. The group was very cohesive and supportive of each other and each and every person came a long way on their personal journeys. When it came to our last day, no one wanted to leave and there were plans for a catch up so that everyone could stay in touch. Thanks to Sheilah for her attendance and support at many of the days and also thanks to the participants for being such a wonderful inaugural group

Colour YOUR WORLD Workshop $110

We are going to run our first “Colour your World” workshop on Sunday 10th September, which is a great opportunity to learn about colour and how you can draw on the energies of colour to enhance your life. We look at your chakras and using colour you get to experience a wonderful healing chakra balance. We also take you on a wonderful Guided Meditation using colour and all its meanings, this is a great opportunity to learn a little more about yourself. Living Now Expo

The Living Now Expo was held at Flemington on the 28th,29th and 30th April and our stall was situated in the market place. This gave us a great opportunity to meet lots of people as they wandered past. We really enjoyed meeting and chatting with people, many of whom were very interested in our courses and also ISET as a therapy. We ran mini ISET sessions and short readings and hopefully we managed to create some lasting change for those who received a session or reading. We collected lots of names of people who expressed interest in receiving our quarterly newsletters and we also ran a competition with the prize being a FREE workshop.

CONGRATULATIONS Carmel Grogan of Sunbury for being our winner, Carmel is going to participate in our July “Live with Spirit” Workshop

Course Outline

i) Power of the mind – 2 days

We investigate the three levels of consciousness and how these relate with each other and the effects on your behaviour, attitude and belief systems. We look at how the mind works and how we can influence that. We explore creating an altered state of consciousness in order to access the sub conscious and unconscious

ii) Visual Images – 2 days

We learn some of the images that can be utilised to help people create change. We explore the concept of using bookends to give you a benchmark to work from.

iii) Understanding the Power of thought - 1 day

We look at the importance of semantics, images, personal reality and how to use thought power to create positive change. We learn how to use language in the most effective way possible

iv) ISET Applications – 2 days

v) Elective subject- choose either; – 2 days

Touch for Health Kinesiology or - Past Life Connections

vi) Practical Component – Case Studies

You are required to complete 6 case studies which are written up and de briefed with a facilitator

vii) Written Presentation

You are required to write and present on The applications of ISET with reference to your own modality

Hello from the ISET Institute. Happy New Year to you all, it has been a busy but very satisfying start to the year for the Institute so read on for some of our comings and goings.

Goodbye Janine

My right hand girl, Janine has decided to call it a day so she can concentrate on the very important task of getting married and her career as one of Melbourne’s dedicated firefighters. Janine has been a fantastic source of inspiration, motivation and dedication to me since we began ISET Institute last September. I would not have been able to do it without her so I will be forever grateful to her for her fantastic support and hard work over the last six months.

Welcome

Fortunately for me, there have been several people step up to fill Janine’s shoes and I would like to welcome Anetta Mclean, who has just moved to Melbourne for the first time from Sydney, as my assistant with the delivery of the courses and workshops and Melissa Thomas for taking over the management of the database and some other administrative duties. Also a big thank you to Sheilah Arneson for her continued support in all areas.

Workshops

We have now successfully run two “Live with Spirit” workshops, one in December and one in February. All those who participated had a great day and many friendships were forged. Most of the participants have either enrolled in February’s certificate course or are planning to enrol in the September certificate course so that is great that we can continue the journey with them. Unfortunately we had to cancel the “Colour your World” workshop due to lack of numbers, however I am planning to run another one on Sunday September 10th 2006, so hopefully we will have the numbers for that one as there are several people who have expressed interest.

Upcoming Workshops & Courses

‘Boot Camp for the Soul’ is the slogan for our workshops and courses. This acknowledges that personal development may sometimes be tough even though the rewards far outweigh the short-term pain. As much as we are developing and growing all the time as individuals, personal development in a group environment often provides an additional kick-start not to mention the enjoyment and support provided by interacting with others with similar goals.

REFLEXOLOGY ASSOCIATION

On Friday February 3rd, Lynne Thorsen-Rowe was asked to speak at the Victorian Branch meeting of the Reflexology association. It was a great night and Lynne was able to talk about and demonstrate the ISET method to around 50 reflexologists. This has sparked a lot of interest in the ISET Methodology Certificate, scheduled to begin in the latter part of next year. Anyone else that may be interested in learning the tools of ISET then please contact us, details below.

Wellbeing and Healing Expo

The Wellbeing and Healing Expo was held at Flemington in October and our stall situated in the market place was certainly well frequented by those attending. We were able to run mini ISET sessions and short readings, provide course and workshop information and also had a range of Eileen’s products on sale. Thank you so much to those who so kindly gave up their Saturday or Sunday to be part of the stall – Ben, Sheilah, Helen and Danielle we really appreciate your time and energy.

We are now over half way through the first course offered by the ISET Institute and really enjoying the opportunity to use and consider ISET, build new relationships and continue the wonderful work begun by Eileen Goble and the Holistic Centre. Eileen

As most of you are aware, the founder of “The Holistic Centre” and author of several Spiritual Healing titles, Eileen Goble, sadly passed away in August 2004 after a long and brave battle with cancer. In the end she came to accept that her time here on earth was over and that she was needed on the “other side” to continue her spiritual journey. In early 2004, Eileen was in the process of handing over the responsibility for courses to past students and practitioners of ISET so that she could move on and work on other projects, at the time we didn’t realise that her ‘moving on’ would be so final. Eileen’s wish was that we continue what had been started, by resuming the running of metaphysical courses. As such we feel honoured to take up the challenge. Eileen has left a very large hole and we are doing our best to fill it. We are very committed to ensuring that Eileen’s work continues into the future, as we strongly believe in the value of ISET as a wonderful healing therapy and tool to enhance everyone’s life journey. We welcome offers of support from ex students and hope that you will all bear with us as we work very hard to get this all re-established. The Holistic Centre continues to be operated by Eileen’s family and will continue to exist for the distribution of Eileen’s books, CDs, flower essences and pendants. The ISET Institute

It is quite some time since you had a newsletter from “The Holistic Centre” and this will be the last newsletter that will come under the banner of “The Holistic Centre”. A new entity has been formed called The ISET Institute. The focus of The ISET Institute is to provide courses, workshops and eventually diplomas in Metaphysical Studies and ISET Methodologies. We hope in time it will also enable a networking opportunity for ISET students, practitioners and anyone interested in things ‘metaphysical’.

The logo above is our new logo and was devised in consultation with Eileen Goble two years ago. The logo was approved by Eileen along with the new name The ISET Institute and reflects the direction she wished her work to take. She felt that “ISET” (Integrated Self Empowerment Therapy) needed more promotion and emphasis within the course curriculum and that it would become the lasting legacy of her work.

About ISET

Once you know and understand the principles of ISET, you may apply them to your work, family relationships and physical/spiritual well being. Using this knowledge does not require you to be a fully qualified practitioner (although this is required if you wish to practice the therapy officially). There have been many students in the past that have not gone on to be practitioners but have used the ISET principles in their workplaces with great success, for example, midwives, nurses, teachers and within the office environment. Others have used the principles to enhance their personal relationships, solve conflicts within their families and make life-changing decisions for themselves. The world we live in is crying out for more people to be aware of modalities such as ISET (there are many other wonderful modalities out there too) and we sincerely hope that our efforts will spread the word and ensure that all of Eileen’s work will not be in vain. Earlier this year we finally came up with what we considered a feasible way to move forward and the intention of this newsletter is to inform you of these developments. We hope too that the newsletter will create sufficient interest that it might continue and would welcome your input as to what you would like to hear about, or perhaps even wish to share.

We understand that many of you have requested “Correspondence courses” or courses in other states, unfortunately in the early stages we are have insufficient resources to do this. However once we have re-established the courses in Melbourne, we can begin to look at other states and methods of participating. We apologise that you may have to wait a little longer for your request but hope that you will remain on our database and wait for updates. On that note, we have inherited a very large database from Eileen and do not wish to send unsolicited emails. If you would like to be removed from the database please reply with the words “please remove from database” in the subject line. Alternatively, if you have moved or your details are incorrect please let us know.
